This oak base plate is used for the Stirling engine Rainer and Stirling engine The big Laura. The base plates have wormholes. The approx. 10-30 wormholes have a diameter of approx. 1.5mm. Since the wood was industrially dried, the worms are now dead. The plates are not split or unstable.
