The powder becomes statically charged in the barrel of the gun due to the friction on various materials. The device is connected to the earth conductor of the socket via a ground terminal and a Schuko plug, which means the component is grounded. Due to the electrostatic charge generated during the run, the coating powder adheres to the workpiece. This effect allows you to coat a variety of materials. The charging occurs when the powder particles touch the wall of the barrel of the powder gun, causing electrons to be released from the Teflon™ barrel. The powder paint particles are separated from the spray gun faster than the charge can be redistributed. This means that the powder particles remain charged and stick to any material. With the transparent, colorless high-gloss powder coating, you can seal metallic surfaces very well, whether polished or sandblasted. The transparent coating powder is also suitable for applying a second layer of powder over an existing powder-coated surface. Metallic gloss is very often used for powder coating aluminum rims. It has a silver base color with a strong metallic effect. This coating powder is ideal for building control panels, in plant construction and for details in technical model making. Black crocodile effect has an even stronger grain structure. With this powder you can powder coat components with a chrome-like look. The powder is processed in the same way as our standard powders. It is first applied with the Power Coat 4 PRO powder gun. Unfortunately, processing with our small powder gun is not possible. After application, the powder is baked at 180°C. After the component is in the oven, wait until the chrome powder begins to shine, then the components should be baked in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. After cooling, the powder-coated part is immediately ready for assembly or further processing. The surface of the powder runs very smoothly, even small unevenness in the material is evened out by the powder. Compared to real chrome, the shine here is a little milkier. Without an additional clear coat layer, the powder coating is relatively sensitive. An additional layer of clear varnish coating powder significantly increases the mechanical strength, but also reduces the mirror effect. This makes the chrome shine even milkier. If the parts are only for decoration or are only subject to minimal mechanical stress, you can do without the clear coat. The XL160 powder oven is our newest and largest powder curing oven. With its 160x85x60cm interior, this oven can accommodate up to four 19-inch or two 23-inch alloy wheels at the same time. Even larger parts, such as bicycle frames, motorcycle frames or larger components in general, fit into this oven. Very stable component holder made of 2 mm thick, galvanized steel for use with the XL oven. With this stand, workpieces such as rims, motorcycle frames, but also many small parts can be hung up and coated with powder.
