DIN 223 cutting dies for the finished, teach-based metric ISO control thread according to DIN 13. The cutting edges have a closed pre-slit form. They can either be clamped in a cutting-edge holder or in the cutting-edge holder for the Bengs model-making machine. The cutting units are made of HSS steel (high-speed working steel). They are suitable for machining brass, copper, steel, stainless steel, silver steel, plastics and cast iron. Lubrication of the cutting tool with cutting oil is absolutely recommended. It increases the service life (life) of the cutting tool and reduces the effort required to make the thread.
